Firstly to note all printer drivers are different and this is especially evident when looking at the printer drivers for different brands. With HP and KM printers  these two different brands are below please see the following:

A. How to print duplex with a HP printer/multifunction unit
B. How to print duplex with a KM copier/multifunction unit
C. How to manually duplex

A. How to print duplex with a HP printer/multifunction unit

To print double sided on a HP machine you will first need to check if your machine allows for duplex printing (or as HP puts in “Two-sided printing”):
This will usually be identified by the initials after the model name.
(Note: you can find the model name on the front of the machine)
If the model is proceeded by either a “d” (for duplex), an “f” (for fax) or a “z” then it can print out on both sides of the page.
Otherwise if it’s the case you need to print on duplex but don’t have a duplex printer then you will need to manually duplex your pages (please see heading 3).
However if you have a automatic duplex unit (most models you can purchase separately) then you can print duplex without much effort from the computer.
1. When your happy with the look of your document/ webpage/ PDF print it
a. File -> Print
2. Select the desired printer HP from the highlighted section as seen below

3. Click properties
4. On the right hand side of the screen you will see “Print on both sides of the page”

5. Change this value to “Yes, flip over” or if you are printing a document which is to be turned up the page choose “Yes, flip up”
6. Your document should come out with the second page now on the opposite side of the first page.

B. How to print duplex with a KM copier/multifunction unit
It is usually the case that a Konica Minolta machine will have a duplex unit in it.
If this tutorial doesn’t seem to match up with the screen shots try heading 3 (manual duplex).
To duplex a print job using a Konica Minolta driver is simple:
1. When your happy with the look of your document/ webpage/ PDF print it
a. File -> Print
2. Select the desired printer from the highlighted section as seen below

3. Click properties
4. The window that appears changes between different models but this window should look similar to the below:

5. Click the “Layout” tab from the buttons across the top
6. Change the “Print type” to “2-sided”

7. There you have it your printer should print out this document on both sides of the page

C. How to manually duplex
Printers and copiers will be able to manually duplex even if your printer / copier does not have a duplex unit in it. Print through the printer / copier on one side of the page then feed the same page through the machine (upside down) to print on the back. Some printers have their own tutorials for this and can take up a lot of time. If you find its taking too long it may be time to look for a machine with a duplex unit in it.
